Tonight we went to Chick-Fil-A and it was their special family night, complete with a balloon maker, a somewhat well-known local clown named Jocko (although tonight he was dressed in street clothes and didn't have his clown attire on). He was amazing with the creations he made! He first made Molly's ladybug bracelet and brought it to our table and told Abby he would be back with something for her. She would have been perfectly happy moving to the back room so Jocko wouldn't make her a balloon! When he returned with her bear holding a heart, she graciously accepted it. At that point Jocko told the girls that he would make Paul a balloon if he (Paul) finished all his food and behaved himself during dinner. When Paul was done eating, Jocko brought this zany balloon hat complete with smiley face at the top and placed it on Paul's noggin! Now Abby really was ready to leave the restaurant and hoped nobody that we knew would see us on the way out! This is what family memories are all about. At least all three balloon recipients were willing to get their picture taken for the blog so I could share the fun with all of you!

Balloons Galore!

Our Very Own Easter Bunny (March 23, 2008)
Easter (March 23, 2008)

With Easter being so early this year, it was nearly impossible to wear nice springy clothes. We did manage to go outside without jackets for a picture, but our teeth were nearly chattering. We were thankful the sun was at least shining on this very special day. Betsy's parents, friends from church, and Abby's bus driver came to share Easter dinner with us this year.
Sings of Spring! (March 23, 2008)
Girls by the Fireplace (March 22, 2008)

We went to a wedding reception for friends of ours and took advantage of the beautiful toasty fireplace for a photo opportunity. Funny how the girls even dressed in similar colors for the event. No, it was certainly not planned. Molly wouldn't mind dressing like twins with Abby everyday. Abby on the other hand, would prefer never to dress alike...
Happy St. Patrick's Day (March 17, 2008)
The New and Improved Snow Fort (March 2, 2008)

It was decided that our snow fort was too tiny and a new and improved snow fort came to be! I even helped (which doesn't happen too often...). It was a combined effort with a couple of the girls' friends as well. You can see two different shots of the monster snow fort. Believe it or not, it reached close to 60 degrees the very next day. Needless to say, even this fort had a hard time staying "alive" with that kind of warm weather! All of that work for just a couple of days. It was somewhat painful to see the DRIP, DRIP, DRIP of the snow melting away.
