We rang in 2010 in style this year by spending New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at Peek 'n Peak Ski Resort with some of our college gang. Friends of Karl and Melodye owns a house at the top of one of the ski slopes and we had use of that house for the weekend. Fun, fun, fun (not to mention nice, nice, nice). We didn't go skiing, but we did go tubing on New Year's Day. What a blast!! (Thanks, Melodye, for the pictures!)

Merry Christmas!

The Girls & Boys
Christmas day was spent at our house with my parents coming to visit. The girls like to stay at our house on Christmas day and that's how it worked out this time. Christmas day is also my mom's birthday, so we get to have double the celebration.

Christmas Eve 2009

A few pictures at home after the Christmas Eve service at church. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

The Hiding Spot

One habbit Griffin has is hiding things, particularly a couple of stuffed bones. He liked it when we had the Christmas tree up because tucking in his bones among the presents made a great "hiding spot" for his most treasured possession. We never had the nerve to tell him that the bone wasn't really hidden...

College Gang Christmas

The "Girls" (AKA Moms)
(L to R) Betsy, Melodye, Pam, Joely, Cheri
The "Boys" (AKA Dads)
(L to R) Curt, Paul, Kark, David, Bart
We had our annual Christmas dinner and gift exchange with our college gang in December. To mix it up a bit, here are pictures of the parents, and not the kids.

Bow Wow Wow

Griffin found that lying on the chairs at the dining room
table is a great spot to be able to see outside.
Casper, just lounging around

Griffin with his Eskimo toy -- He LOVES toys
To keep it even with the girls' photo shoot, it only seemed fair to share one of the dogs with you. :o)

Oops!

Abby and Paul went to the community library to get a book for school one Saturday afternoon. When Abby returned home she looked down at her feet and noticed she had worn a pair of mismatched shoes! Note to self: take a moment to check out your feet before
leaving the house.

Middle School Concert

Abby's school band had their winter concert in December.
With being first chair clarinet, Abby gets a prime seat on the stage.
Crazy to think this was her last winter concert at the middle school.
How time flies!

Christmas Characters

Ho-Ho-Ho!!
Molly with her friend Frosty
An annual tradition is for me to take the girls (or just Molly the past two Christmas seasons) to "Breakfast with Santa" at a local nursing home. Here are a couple of pictures of Molly at the breakfast.

Thanksgiving 2009

"Cousins"
Some first cousins and some second cousins
Happy Thanksgiving!!
We spent Thanksgiving day at my parents' house. There were 18 of us from my mom's side of the family. Lots of turkey, lots of laughter, and lots of memories.
