After some pretty major convincing on my part, Molly is now a happy member of our swim club's swim team. She just finished up softball and is now in full swing (no pun intended) with swim team. She had her first swim meet this past week and did well. Molly does not care in the least how she places (or if she even does) and doesn't like anyone to make a fuss over her. She swam freestyle (and came in 7th out of 18 girls in the 8 and under group) and she swam breaststroke (her favorite stroke -- and came in 3rd out of 6 swimmers). I wish Abby had given swim team a fair chance when she was Molly's age, but she does take after me in the area of lack of enjoyment of organized sports...The above pictures are of her at the start of the swim meet, Molly right after swimming freestyle (notice her smile -- she liked it!) and an action shot of her breaststroke.
